MEXICO BASS FISHING
Location: approximately 100 miles (a 2-hour drive) north east of Mazatlan (MZT)
Size: approximately 34,000 acres at full pool
Lake record: largemouth: 19 pounds, 6 ounces
Facts: Lake Comedero is twice the size of Lake El Salto (34,000 acres at full pool), twice as deep, and absolutely FULL OF GIANT BASS! Everyone knows how amazing El Salto is. But, think of Comedero as El Salto with no fishing pressure!
Comedero is one of the best topwater trophy bass lakes in the world. Many of these giants are landed on topwater lures that's right, topwater! The lake has virtually no fishing pressure as it is remote enough to keep local and American sports fishermen from driving and pulling their boats.
Season: October thru July.
Prime time is from March until mid-July.
