Our well-known Mexican lakes have the reputation for harboring huge bass, with less fishing pressure than most waters in the U.S. But that’s not to say the bass in these lakes are pushovers and won’t present a challenge. Still, they also have the capability to produce big weights.

On Saturday, February 2, 2019 and Sunday, February 3, 2019 the first tournament of the northeast circuit was held in 2019, this time it was in Lake Don Martin, the winners Rodrigo Gómez and Luis Fernando Abdala accumulated the incredible amount of 64 pounds with 10 bass, several participants broke their personal best, like the case of our friend Diego del Valle with a bass of 12.78 pounds, the first day of competition 13 teams accumulated more than 31 pounds in 5 bass, many bass exceeded 9 pounds and broke the record of the lake with an incredible bass of 14.35 pounds, in other words, a spectacular tournament with dreamy bass. An event that puts the quality of lakes and bass in Mexico very high, which reaffirms that Mexico is one of the best destinations for trophy bass fishing trips worldwide.
