Dear Tommy,
Just a quick note to tell you how much I enjoyed my fishing trips (3) to Lake Agua Milpa. These trips were great and my friends thought the same. Not only were the accommodations delightful the wait service and food was outstanding. I think I gained 5 pounds in three days.

The fishing was incredible. The guides definitely know where the fish are and help you in every way. As a novice, I caught over 30 fish every morning and every afternoon. On the next two trips my catch rose to over 50 each session. The guides get as excited as I do when the big fish are caught. Thanks for the 8+ pound big ones. I cannot believe how hard even the 2+ pounders fight! It is unbelievable.

You took care of every detail including the ride to and from the airport. The beverages and stops in the little villages along the way were very interesting. Thanks for a great trip and unforgettable memories.

WOW what a trip! This is one I won’t forget any time soon. In three days of fishing four of us caught 396 bass. Most of them weighed 3 to 8 pounds. I even missed a cast—threw the worm on the bank—and the minute I pulled it into the water, a 6 ½ pounder hit and the battle was on until I got him into the boat. Thanks for a very nice time of fishing. My son and I really enjoyed everything and felt like we were very well taken care of. The lodge treated us like family with very nice rooms, fabulous meals (too much to eat), and more Margaritas and beer than I should probably mention. The guides put us on some really good fish. We averaged over 75 each per day. I was used to catching 6 to 8 per day at home. We are already talking about when we will go again.

Comedero Bass Club

We had a really good trip even though the fishing numbers were not quite what we had hoped. I thought all of the guides took good care of us. The camp was in good condition and we are looking forward to another trip. The food was better than the last trip—in fact I know I put on a few pounds. My son had never been bass fishing before and he caught 13 the last day. One of them weighed 7 lbs. (gave him a thrill!) and also a 6 and a 5. Not bad for a first timer.

Tommy, I just wanted to convey what a great fishing experience you provided during my recent trip to Mexico! I am writing this recommendation for anyone who is considering going to the fishing camp at Club El Salto. I recently spent 3 days in January at the camp and it was a great experience. The lake has large fish and many of them and the guides work very hard to put you on fish.

The camp itself was very well run and the camp managers went out of their way to keep everyone happy. What can be better than coming back from an afternoon of fishing and being handed a margarita as you walk off the boat and have nachos delivered to your door? The food was good and plentiful and overall everything was set up to be convenient for the guests.

I also have to commend the management team—in a quick and professional manner they took care of an issue for me that came up. The trip went off without a hitch and during my stay at Club El Salto and in Mazatlan I felt safe at all times. Overall I would highly recommend Club El Salto as a top fishing destination.

Hi, I am Denny Bauer and I just wanted to give everyone an update on Club El Salto.

A large group of us went on a great trip to Club El Salto the first week of October. We hit the weather a little hot and the fishing a little tougher than normal, but it was still great. Lots of really good fish caught with several guys in our group catching the biggest bass of their life.

The new updates to the camp are fantastic and the new boats were also great. If you have never been before, the food is first class and the guides work very hard to keep you on good fish.

I know many people have concerns about how safe Mexico is right now. We had absolutely no issues and are already planning next year’s trip. We had some guys not go this year because of all the media focus on Mexico. Most have already said they are going next year. You can have a problem anywhere, including your back yard. I feel totally comfortable going to Club El Salto and look forward to the next trip. I try to go at least once a year. Great experience!

Lake El Salto Resort

Thank you very much for the two great trips to lake El Salto. As advertised, the fishing is unbelievable with so many big fish. In the 3 day trip, I caught over 30 fish during the morning session and again in the afternoon session. There are so many big fish in this lake. I caught a 10+ pounder and an 11+ pounder. The guides know what tackle to use and where to put the lure. My friends also caught big fish (not as big as mine!) but also had an incredible time. It is always good when you bring friends and they say “it was even better than you said it would be”.

I can’t say enough about the accommodations, food, service, and the guides. You were a great host and looked after every detail. I am sorry that my fish was bigger than yours.

My fishing experience with trophyfishinginmexico and Tommy Crawford was OUTSTANDING!! At Lake El Salto we enjoyed constant bass action averaging over 50 per day per person. And the hospitality and accommodations were great. Then in Mazatlan on our off-shore fishing trip our boat of three fishermen landed a large Dorado and hooked, fought, and finally released a 7-foot Striped Marlin. To see it jump completely out of the water, stand on its tail, and try to shake the hook loose four or five times was awesome.

My best friend and I just got back from a wonderful trip to Mexico‘s El Salto Lake. We experienced a trip of a lifetime. The bass fishing was such a thrill. Hacienda La Nellita - Lake Oviachic

I just want to say what a great experience we had fishing at Lake Oviachic. Frank’s hospitality was second to none and so were the accommodations. The house was definitely a show place. You have to see it to believe it. The fishing was awesome, with a lot of fish in the 5 to 8-pound range. The guides were so helpful and really knew where the fish were. The meals every night were 5-star quality with more to eat than I could have imagined. There were Margaritas waiting at the curb each night when we arrived. I would definitely recommend Lake Oviachic and the accommodations. First class all the way!!! Boy did I have some news for my friends back home after my trip to Oviachic!!! I have fished all over the world and have never been to a lodge that looked like a museum of fine fishing and hunting, rather than just a place to stay. There are mounts of numerous animals; some of them really exotic, like Black Bear from Russia, baboons, monkeys, zebra, not to mention a lot of deer, elk, and moose mounts. There are many birds of all species and several trophy fish.
After I tore myself from all of the displays of beauty, I enjoyed fishing from one of the Ranger bass boats. In one day, two of us caught 216 bass. Several of them were in the 6 to 10 lb. range. This lake has a lot of submerged Mesquite trees that caused us to break off nearly as many as we caught. The guide kept us on fish all day, so many that we took a three-hour siesta. Of course the Margaritas helped too. I will be back soon to enjoy the excellent hospitality, great service, delicious meals, and maybe some of the best bass fishing in the world. I highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a time of their life.
